The latest Operator in Rainbow Six Siege can use her gadget to change the layout of the entire map in real-time. Heading into the game at the start of Season 1 of Year 7, Azami promises to be a powerful Defender pick.
When it comes to her past, newcomer Azami has it all. The 28-year-old former member of the security division of Japan’s Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is also a bodyguard and student of various martial arts.
As a Speed Defender with 2 Lives and 2, Azami is suited to a variety of different situations. Your weapon loadout offers a D-50 pistol and a 9X19SVN submachine gun or ACS12 shotgun in its main slot, as well as an impact grenade or barbed wire as your gear.
His real strength, however, lies in his gadget, the Kiba Barrier. Azami enters the battle with five modified Kunai, which stick to surfaces when thrown. Once there, it expands into a bulletproof barrier, blocking angles, passages, and even slots that can open Defenders to a grenade or drone.
If you find yourself stuck on the wrong side of one of Kiba’s Barriers as an attacker, you’re not going to have any luck getting through it with weapons. Explosives and melee attacks will eventually open a path, but you’ll be alerting anyone on the other side of your presence if you don’t find another way.
Azami is now available through the Premium Battle Pass, or with R6 or Renown points, as part of the New season of Rainbow Six Siege – Demon’s Veil. Also included in the new season is a new map, the new Team Deathmatch mode, and the introduction of the Attacker Repick feature, which allows those on the offensive to adapt their team to outperform the Defenders.
