It’s getting hard to keep up with the number of Batman in the world. For me it will always be Michael Keaton, although I love Nolan’s films, and others have their favorites: and one of the strangest things is seeing how the many different takes of the character blend together over time, as some parts are taken while others are left behind. Anyway, Bat-rambling aside, someone put the Nolan version of Batman in Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight.
This is an oddly specific mod, because the Arkham games have always seemed to have a big influence from Batman Begins anyway (which came out in 2005; Arkham Asylum was 2009). There were a lot of animated series and comic books in there too, but the brutal and tough combat system in particular felt…well, it almost felt like an adaptation. However, it’s not good enough for LootedGarbage, which has now modified Arkham Knight to feature something closer to Nolan Batman’s moveset.
“This mod changes the player’s moveset to be more reminiscent of Christian Bale’s moveset from the Dark Knight Trilogy. I know it’s a goofy moveset, but I wanted to make it as accurate as possible. Nothing big, just a fun little mod what I wanted to do.”
As you can see above, what this boils down to is: lots of elbows. Christian Bale loves to elbow a bad guy. Unfortunately, there’s no additional voice file that screams Swear to me when the last bad guy falls, but you can’t have it all.
You can download the Moveset Dark Knight Trilogy here. You will need the Red Hood DLC to use the mod as it uses some of its animations.
