Hearthstone’s Crab Rave is releasing free beats and stuff for Voyage to the Sunken City

If you’ve ever wondered what a rave would be like if the DJ was a crab, and everyone in the audience was a crab, and the whole thing happened underwater, Blizzard is here with the answer. And the hearthstone (opens in new tab) Crab Rave, and is releasing beats and packs to celebrate the upcoming release of Crab Rave. Journey to the Sunken City (opens in new tab) expansion.

Yes, I’m serious. They are busting crabs moving as far as the eye can see.

There aren’t many details here, but viewers can pick up “surprise package drops” throughout the show. To get the free stuff you will need to have your Twitch account linked to your Battle.net account: Go to the settings menu on Twitch, select the “connections” option at the top and click the “connect” button the Blizzard Battle option .net. You’ll be prompted to log into your Battle.net account—once you’ve done that, you’re ready to go.

Free stuff is the obvious attraction, but the “Hearthstone remixes” aren’t bad on their own. I’m not a gamer so I can’t pinpoint any specific titles, but the show is headlined by Crabicii and features the talents of Shellex, Crȁb, deadcr4b, Krabwerk, Daft Pink, Shellboy Slim, DJ Crabby Jeff, Pinch the Jewels, Shellinem, Blue Crab Worship, Imagine Crustaceans, Li’l Crabby, Panic! on Crab Tank, Red Hot Steamed Crabs, Crabby Boys, Crabi XCX and many others.

This is a quality lineup from start to finish, but Wes has a few favorites:

In case it’s not clear, this is a gag formation. But it’s Blizzard’s gag, not mine, so full credit (or blame) where it’s due. And the music actually isn’t terrible: some of it is very overtly game-like, but there are some good beats here too – I intend to keep the broadcast going during the show, even if I don’t mind that. the drops. The Hearthstone Crab Rave runs until 5pm PT/8pm ET.
