Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary Website Raises Many Questions

Launched in 2012, dragon dogma it was a bright and rough RPG with some really interesting ideas. Chief among them was the Pawn system, which allows you to customize party mates and share them online to be leveled by other players and vice versa. Oh, and you can scale enemies mid-combat, Shadow of the Colossus style. Oh, and you can also pick up people and throw them off cliffs.

A great game in every way, and a huge delay for a sequel. Netflix’s recent anime was proof enough that Capcom has plans for the series, but as of today, the Dragon’s Dogma official website received a special 10th anniversary treatment. It’s true: Dragon’s Dogma released in May 2012 (By the way, Soul Sacrifice too, and where is it is birthday website?).

What’s less clear is why Capcom went to such lengths to celebrate a largely dormant series. There was an MMO Dragon’s Dogma that never came west, and an anime which ended at the end of 2020 but otherwise there was nothing.

The most exciting possibility, of course, is that this treatment points to an imminent reveal for Dragon’s Dogma 2, whose eventual existence seems almost inevitable. In 2019, Dragon’s Dogma and Devil May Cry creator Hideaki Itsuno he said that a sequel to the first was on the cards, but that he and Capcom opted for Devil May Cry 5.

Not only that, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 was included in this infamous Nvidia game list leakedwhich since its original appearance in November 2021, has been corroborated multiple times by actual advertisements.

Or… it could just be another season of the anime, which would be nice, but where is Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom? Please. Whatever happens, the Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary website is on here if you want to take a look. May is passing by very quickly, so if Capcom has an announcement up its sleeve, it will likely be this week or early next.
