Blizzard (opens in new tab) silently opened pre-registrations for a devil 4 (opens in new tab) closed beta, allowing players to opt in for a shot at the closed beta once testing begins. To do this, all you need to do is go to the diablo 4 website (opens in new tab) and click a little “Pre-Register” button, then log into your battle.net account for a chance to be chosen as a tester. So far, no date has been announced for the closed beta.

It’s a pretty low-key ad for what was supposed to be one of Blizzard’s underpinning series, but the Diablo brand name has been tarnished by association with Diablo Immortal.
