Build broken combos to take down cosmic horrors in 20 Minutes Till Dawn

We all like roguelite action games now, don’t we? Here’s a cool one: 20 Minutes Till Dawn, a shoot-em-up that lets you choose a character, a weapon, and go wild with twisty upgrades to take down monstrous baddies to survive the titular 20 minutes. You might be a fire mage with a shotgun, for example, or a nimble ninja with a crossbow and a ghost sidekick.

Perhaps better, it has a free demo version available, the aptly titled 10 minutes until dawn.

After spending some time with the demo and unlocking all of its playable stuff, I really liked where 20 Minutes Till Dawn was going. Switching between interesting builds based on ideas like knockback, autofire, and summoning was fun between runs. While there still wasn’t much variety between how characters play, each could be optimized quite differently based on which weapon was chosen. My favorite setup was a muscular shotgun woman who basically never, never stopped shooting.

It’s definitely the kind of bite-sized action gameplay that made the recent Vampire Survivors a success with some. You can find 20 minutes until dawnhuh its demo on Steam. Developer flannel is also working on a strategic RPG, Spiritlink tactics.
