Silverlight 1.0 Install Problem??

I found a thread on trouble installing Silverlight and it had this info as a possible solution:

"Uninstall Silverlight, preferably with the Windows Install clean up.
> Reboot.
> Download the SL1 and expand into a directory in C:\temp\SL1 (I did not tried
> the 2.0 because it beta)
> Using the install.exe will give you another failure. Insted use the msi file
> directly installing it as
msiexec.exe /I C:\temp\SL1\silverlight.msi"

Hopefully that will resolve. If not, let us know as I am sure someone else will have the proper info.

Hi All,
While downloading the following upgrade from ms site, Silverlight
Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 (KB955305) downloaded ok but failed to
install.
Tried several times with no luck.
Even tried the ms download help page, and again the same problem occured.
Any suggestions or feedback as to how to resolve this problem,
and please post any step by step instructions as well.
Please keep in simple.
