Partition Manager Express is now available for free.

I just received the e-mail from Paragon, so hope this information will be useful -

This latest release of the leading Partition Manager is now available at no cost to users.

This software will give end users the trusted express solution to take a first step to manage their partitions and redistribute unused disk space. This Express edition is available for home use only. Works with 32-bit Windows Vista, upper edition works with 62-bit as well.

Major Features:

Redistribute Unused Disk Space:

Gain additional space in an your existing partitions by easily resizing and moving partitions with through the smart Resize Wizard.

Organize and optimize your hard drive:

Add partitions with the highly intuitive Create Partition Wizard. Leave a core partition to host Windows and automatically create a new partition for work and data files in a logical, intuitive place.

Prepare your hard drive for backup:

Simplify the backup process by separating your data from your Operating System. A structured approach allows you to have a separate location for your OS, your data, and your backups.

Dual boot user systems:

Many applications still don't work with Vista, so why not keep a copy of Windows XP? With separate drive partitions, you can install several operating systems and have a choice on startup.

A HOT FIND perhaps?

Thanks - I also entrust Paragon programmes to do my partitioning tasks. I just make sure to pause to look and think carefully about what changes are being made before finally pressing the confirmation buttons. So far, I haven't experienced any damaging surprises.

I see this freeware edition lacks partitioning options such as "split", "merge", "copy", and "delete/undelete". You'd have to get a payware version for these, although fuller editions of Paragon programmes are sometimes also "given away" with magazines.
