Driver Organization
Hi,
I have a EEE PC with 40 GB of storage. It it soild state with partitioned storage, and runs Window XP
Currently I have everything on my C drive which is (7.5 GB)
However, it is rapidly filing up (ie. I have 1.5 GB left) and I still want to load the new office and the adobe suite. (but obviously I wont have room)
The other D drive (30 GB) is completely empty.
What would be the best way of organizing this?
i realise data should be kept seperate from windows, (but that still does not leave enough room for applications)
I can't easily reload windows, what are my options?
Any suggestions would really help!

also move your documents and settings to the other drive
I have had the same problem (with less GB's than yourself) and I have done exactly what Peter has said. The benefits of an external hard drive is something you don't fully appreciate until you have one. I paid only £60 (I suppose in use $ it about 97 U.S. dollars) for a 500BG Freecom and get one that you can turn off as many don't.

It's all much cheaper in the US Tony; I'd guess you can get a good-quality 500 GB disk for less than 50 dollars.
There are several things you can do, but the quickest and easiest solution is to install some applications on the D drive. (You shouldn't notice any difference) I'd also suggest putting your swap file on the D drive to free some space on C.
I appreciate this violates the "keep data and applications separate" idea, but it's a trade-off.
If you can afford it, I'd also recommend getting an external USB drive. Apart from giving you more storage space, you can then make complete system backups (imaging).
