Best Free PC Tune-up Utilities
Well I know that we've talked a few times over messages on this site mr.moderator... so let me give a few thoughts on your suggestions:
AWC 3 & Glary are great products (specially ever since AWC fixed that trojan I mentioned to you before)
Ashampoo - not really crazy on...
VCOM Fixit - I haven't tried it YET but I do have the page opened....
System Mechanic - I think users should be warned in all honesty me wife and I bought version 6 then version 7 but we found version 6 worked alot better as it seemed that version 7 finished it's tasks long before it really should I haven't tried 8 but have gotten various emails from them as a "Free upgrade offer" as I find AWC a better choice as it's freeware plus they have a graph on the site showcasing that they're infact a better product (I know anyone can create graphs as I can create one stating that I'm always right.... would anyone really trust it though ?) but I found that System Mechanic didn't do a whole lot of good as it ran fine on my wifes computer however mine it would uninstall and remove things as I always had to install my printer (amongst other things) anytime I ran it... so I do want to send out a warning to all who do use it sure it maybe free for the first six months but I don't recommend that you use it as it's caused me nothing but grief
I currently have VCOM's program on the download and will let ya know what I think about it in due time (as I like to test programs a few days and not just run'em once as things CAN look good UNTIL you reboot then at times thats when all hell breaks loose)

Hi
I suspect that the AWC being a trojan was a temporary false positive on Avast's side.
Regarding AWC's website, I personally think it is making a whole lot of hyperboles with absolutely no proof. For example, the graph compares it to older versions of other products and it does not mention how they test the effectiveness, and guess what, Advanced WindowsCare is supposedly the best by far.
I've tried SM 7 and it did seem quite slow and the anti-spyware has a LOT of false positves, but in my opinion overall it is an acceptable package since I personally recommend not using the anti-spyware anyway.
I'd be interested to see what you think of Fixit Express. Actually I haven't tried it yet.
Thanks
