Another question about "Never reinstall Windows again"

I have followed Gizmo's directions in the article series on "Never reinstall Windows again". It works fine now. (Except I can't resize the partitions).

The question is: suppose one day the computer breaks down "hardware-wise", and I buy a new computer without OS. If I then transfer the "system partition" and "data partition" to the new computer (from the backup of the old computer, stored on external hard drive), will Windows XP then run without any trouble? Or will Windows know that it is a new computer and make trouble with the "installation"?

Not sure if that would work with different hardware.

You need an imaging software that supports "bare-metal" restore to do that. Not sure of ATI (I don't use it).

Thanks.
I have ATI (that must be Acronis True Image) -- so no easy solutions here?

Check specs (or ask support).
